I’m one of these people! I came into cannabis because I’m passionate about holistic health and wellness and the desire for people to experience less pain, anxiety and depression and deeper levels of joy and connection.

Like many successful people in cannabis, I have an eclectic background that includes family business, retail and manufacturing, publishing, health and wellness, the arts, and social justice. I utilize all of my prior experiences to help me navigate the complex cannabis ecosystem.

Plus, I’m an adoptive mom in a mixed, transracial family. So I know all about challenging norms and the status quo, and being a community educator.

How This Works

We’ll work together in 4- live Zoom sessions and ongoing asynchronous communication over a span of 4- 8 Weeks.

  1. You’re going to work intensively with me (KMesh) and my team of writers and designers over 4 - 8 weeks to develop your job search preparation materials and to develop your mindset so that you have full clarity and confidence about who you are and where you’re going next in the industry. Expedited coaching packages are considered on a case-by-case basis.

  2. We’re going to co-create a professional, accurate resume that tells “Your Cannabis Leadership Story” in a timely, relevant, and compelling way so it will be easily received and understood by industry leaders and hiring managers.

  3. We’ll make you a highly customized ATS-optimized LinkedIn profile (custom-designed and edited header & headshot)that will “stop the scroll” and capture the attention of recruiters and HR and talent leaders.

  4. We’ll write a powerful executive summary (that ChatGPT cannot write) that provides key contextual clues about the nature of your work in cannabis and before cannabis that will help recruiters understand your profile most accurately in the application process.

  5. We’ll strategize together about your job search, what roles you should be seeking out, and where to find them. (Spoiler Alert: They’re not all on Indeed!) I’ll share all of my best practices, as well as time-saving tools, tips and tricks.

EXECUTIVE RESUME

(Sessions 1 & 2)

One of the most value-intensive parts of our work includes a professionally rewritten and designed resume that tells “Your Cannabis Leadership Story” in a timely, relevant and compelling way so it will be easily received and understood by industry leaders.

We spend several hours talking before we move into the writing so I can fully understand your journey, and help you communicate it succinctly and effectively.

The editing process will include up to 3 revisions, as well as best practices for how to keep your resume updated and resources for ensuring the design will format properly after each new future revision.

LINKEDIN PROFILE DEVELOPMENT

(Session 3)

LinkedIn is the single most powerful marketing tool for cannabis jobseekers.

We’ll spend time developing an ATS-optimized LinkedIn profile and Title, custom-designed header, and Headshot that will “stop the scroll” and capture the attention of recruiters and HR and talent leaders in the industry.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

(Session 2)

It’s critical that you have an Executive Summary and Bio that identifies your powerful “Cannabis DNA” (why you came into the industry) and your “Cannabis Ikigai” (a way to clearly and powerfully communicate your unique value proposition and sets you apart in a challenging job market).

Composing this narrative also requires identifying your unique characteristics, qualities, and “Career Stories” that will make you memorable and connect emotionally with hiring managers and others you meet on the path to your ideal role.

We’ll create a long-form 500-word version and shorter versions for use in job or board applications, LinkedIn, and speaking engagements.

INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS

(Session 4)

Strong relationships are critical to success in any industry, perhaps even more so in a young and rapidly evolving industry like cannabis.

This means understanding “Who’s Who” and getting connected to them.

I‘ll provide you with a curated list of industry recruiters and rainmakers, blogs, networking events, and resources.

We’ll brainstorm together which events, groups and communities are the right ones for you to network with, and how to do so professionally and impactfully to meet your goals.

LINKEDIN OUTREACH STRATEGY

(Session 3)

We’ll develop customized strategies and ideas for optimizing your presence on LinkedIn and how to develop your own authentic voice to communicate your knowledge and value to the cannabis industry ecosystem.

We’ll develop some basic “content pillars” and set goals for building connection count and reach with steady, weekly engagement.

JOB SEARCH STRATEGY

(Session 4)

Your job search and application strategy is also included in this package.

I want to give you the tools and knowledge to conduct an effective job search strategy, learn techniques for attracting the attention of hiring managers, and access the hidden job market.

I have dozens of tips and tricks that will save you time and energy and give you the best chances of connecting meaningfully with the hiring manager at each organization you’re interested in working for.

  • All that’s required for this program is your willingness to share openly about your professional history, skills, experiences, preferences and, and goals.

    If you have an existing resume, headshot or bio, we can incorporate those into our work, or start from scratch. The KMesh Cann team will do the rest!

  • Our coaching work together will take us between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on our schedules and the pace that you are willing to work in between sessions to provide me the information I need to complete your materials.

    The cannabis job market varies greatly from state to state, but the average job search can take 6- 9 months. I urge my clients to seriously consider their own cash flow needs as well as the financial commitment to this program.

  • I do not conduct job searches on behalf of clients. I also do not pro- actively pitch candidates for open job opportunities in the context of working as your career coach.

    I will make introductions as appropriate, to hiring managers an other industry leaders who have a voice in hiring decisions.

    I will also help you identify what kinds of roles you're looking for, where to look for them, and how to apply for them.
